In January 2007 Jupiter, the planet of expansion and optimism, crosses into the vital first house in George W. Bush’s horoscope. Rumours of a planned ‘surge’ in Iraq reflect the US President’s emotional optimism.
Within the first house of George W. Bush’s horoscope sit the planets Mercury and Pluto. Mercury represents the thinking process and communication. Pluto represents death and subsequent transformation and renewal. Clearly the President is thinking optimistically that by delivering a death blow to his opponents he will transform the disastrous situation that is unravelling in Iraq.
However between February and June 2007 Saturn, the planet in which represents defeat and depression, conjoins the planet in George W. Bush’s horoscope, which governs friends and allies. This represents a serious thinning of what remains of his army of supporters.

Barry Humphries is a ‘little under the weather’ in the first half of 2007 as the planet of depression and karma transverses his point of career and reputation. This would normally suggest a time of career re-evaluation.
In 2007 Barry Humphries is also softening his approach to life, and finds it more difficult to maintain the same high levels of energy we have witnessed in the past. Some of his life structures are dissolving as he endeavours to make sense of his life.
In March and October of 2007, as well as January of 2008, his mind awakens to new possibilities. He may be the recipient of some very surprising news, which will cause him to re-evaluate his financial position.

Bert Newton was born with the star Regulus conjoined to his Ascendant. The Ascendant represents that part of our personality which we project – our appearance and outer persona. Regulus is known amongst astrologers for its associations with success and fame. Bert Newton’s prominence and success on Australian television has certainly been ‘written in the stars’.
While the second half of 2006 and the first half of 2007 shows the planet of restriction and depression prominent in his horoscope, this influence is counter-acted in March, May and October 2007, as the planet of optimism and expansion exerts its influence.
