PETER BURNS Peter's interest in astrology began in the late 1970's while studying for a sociology degree at La Trobe University. In 1982 after graduating, Peter began his studies in Palmistry (Chirology) at the Southern School of Naturopathy in Fitzroy, Victoria. In the late 1980's Peter began formal astrological studies in earnest, and joined the Federation of Australian Astrologers (FAA). The FAA has approximately 700 members across Australia. Since 1984 Peter has provided consultations for hundreds of people, and has been actively involved in teaching astrology and palmistry. In 1991 he gave a series of public lectures in Perth concerning the astrological indications of a second industrial revolution ('the information revolution') expected to commence in the early 1990's. He has given a number of lectures at the Western Australian and Victorian Astrological Associations. In 1997 Peter obtained the Practitioner's Certificate from the FAA, and in 2004 he joined the Association of Professional Astrologers (APA). Peter has also been a regular guest speaker on the subject of astrology on ABC radio in Western Australia and on 3RRR in Melbourne. In November 2005 Peter was elected President of the Victorian Astrologers Association (VAA). The VAA holds 10 public lectures each year and has approximately 200 members.
